Just a quick email. Needed to let you know that you have a fantastic product.

It is perfect for weekend trips to the dams around SE Queensland. So fast to put up, I am in the water before others even setup.

Our original tent has now been retired. (never going back to putting that up!) We get people come up and ask us about the tent all the time. Our record is about 20 people in a day!!!! People are fascinated by it. The tent sits perfectly on top of our jet ski trailer, it tows fine.

Howdy.
Thought I’d pop you a note to let you know that your camper went incredibly well down in the snow storms last week. It’s the second time I’ve taken the camper down to the snowies but this was the first time I ventured up into the National Park Valleys. Having stayed at Jindabyne last year, I was aware that there are these crazy winds that hurl down off the mountain tops and cause havoc with anything not chained to the ground. The one issue I found last year was there there are very few tie-down points on the camper.

. . . anyhow*, I was prepared this time round (or so I thought) and added a tarp that would keep the rain (and snow) from seeping through the canvas at the contact points and to add a couple of tie-down angles.

Just my luck, I arrived on a perfect Winter’s day – around 2 degress, perfect sunshine and no wind at all. I picked the spot I felt would be best for drainage, shelter me from the winds that were bound to come and to somehow catch a bit of sunshine to dry things out a bit during the day and keep my solar panel happy.

24 hours later I was in the middle of a blizzard with winds in excess of 100 Klm. My spot wasn’t bad – could have been better for wind protection but nonetheless OK. Over the next three nights I strapped myself into bed and rode out the “monsters” that roared down the valley, testing everything in their paths. Whilst there weren’t too many other campers, most of them blew away and only lasted one night! Despite the camper being picked up and dropped numerous times from the sheer force of the wind, everything held on really well. I skiid the resorts 6 out the 8 days and often wondered what would be left back at the campsite, but the Austrack held firm.

On my last day I awoke to find about 6cm of snow over everything. The weight caused a few sags in the tarp, made a support beam slide down a foot or so and even popped one of the cross-support poles from it’s position under the roof inside the camper but otherwise, everything worked flawlessly.
The first night saw temperatures plummet to well below -6 degress (my thermometer bottomed out!) and 100+ Klm winds. The photos show the day I left – I packed up as even more snow was falling, covering the camper as I tried in vain to put the cover over everything before too much got in.
I was a great holiday and I’ve got plenty of stories to tell over the years, hopefully around much warmer camp fires!
The Camper went as well as anyone could expect. Great product.

The new camper travelled extremely well on the 3000 odd kms trip home.
It will be registered some time this week.

The weather did give us a hard time on the way home – made Emerald on
Saturday night.

Very windy with some big wind gusts – we put the camper up there for the
first time (in hindsight
a bit ambitious) but it was a good exercise & went up & down easily as you
had assured us it would.

Yet to do the wetting & drying out procedure & erecting the annex etc -
hopefully over Easter, however,
we have a big rain depression hitting at the moment – the remnants from
another (smaller) cyclone PAUL.

Thanks again for all you great service & patience.

Just writing a quick message to say a very big thank you and how very impressed we are with our new camper.

Initially can I comment on your service and enthusiasm for your product. As you know I wasn’t really shopping for a camper when I walked into your shop. The way that you very patiently explained the various features of the tent and had all the bits and pieces packaged and presented was really quite impressive. There was a real warmth and sense of welcome exuded by you guys and it made me want to come back and bring Monica with me. Your passion for your product was what really made me pay attention and start thinking of actually buying a camper trailer.

Secondly can I thank you for how gracious you were. You gave us a fair bit of your time and were very generous in getting us into a camper in an unbelievably short time. I have recommended you to many people already and will continue to do so as I brag about the wonderful Austrack Camper we have and the terrific people from whom we purchased it.

Finally can I say how bloody good the camper is. What a device. The quality of the trailer is exceptional, it just looks really good sitting behind the Navara as well. The tent was fun to set up and was warm and dry on a cold and rainy weekend. I was amazed at how dry the canvas stayed actually. We had some pretty serious rain and the water was beading up and running off beautifully. It was warm inside and the kids slept soundly and warmly, our massive bed was a cracker too. Very comfortable and very dark. I woke up thinking it was just before sunrise and it was past 7.30am! The friends we camped with had been up since ‘sparra’s’ as the light was piling into their nylon tent. We got an enormous amount of gear in the trailer and especially on top in the extra large PVC cover. We are so very thankful for the whole thing and can’t wait to go again as soon as possible.

I will certainly be back into the shop to pick up a few things not the least of which will be another coffee cup as Monica and I fight over the one we have all the time. I am going to keep one on my desk at work and tell anyone who will listen just what a good experience we have had with Austrack Campers.

Hello Kevin, Tanya & Robin,
Managed to get out camping (Daly region) over the Queens Birthday weekend.
Only the 2nd time we have used the camper since we came home from Qld in March.
We think we are now experts, however, admit to forgetting a few steps every now & then

(such as leaving the poles erected inside the tent before dropping it & then having to crawl inside)
Have attached a couple of photos on that camping trip. A secluded area in the bush with
a small flowing creek (hot springs – around 28 – 30 degrees)
A great weekend in a very comfortable set up.

Hi Tanya,
Thank you for your generosity it is greatly appreciated. We have used the camper several times now and the last only last weekend. We have had rain on most of the weekend trips, not once has the tent leaked. The ventilation is great with the large windows and extra door. I have set up the window awnings and we are able to leave the windows open in heavy rain without any problems.

What you are reinforcing is your continuing relationship and support for your clients who seem to become your mates. This is a rare thing in a modern world and we thank you for that.

we used the camper tent on the weekend for the first time and we are absolutely wrapped! The trailer set-up I had custom made works very well
(2 gas bottles, gerry can etc) and I have strongly encouraged Craig from Trik Trailers to touch base with you as a good cheaper alternative to the brand he currently sources. The whole set-up came in at around 5.5k on road and is better than most others I have seen and around 2.5k cheaper.
The tent canvas and poles are definitely a far superior quality to other imports (but you already knew that….) and the layout of the tent is great.

When packing up on Sunday, it started to rain and the canvas roof etc became pretty wet (not soaked, just in the rain for 30 mins or so). We are now experiencing very wet and windy conditions in Melbourne and I haven’t been able to open it up again to let it air dry. It has now been 48 hours packed wet. Is that a problem??
Your advice would be greatly appreciated.

It has been a while. it’s Nick Gibson down in burnie tasmania i bought from you nearly 12 months ago. I have someone interested in one just wondering what the rate is now delivered to Burnie. I will also tell you of an experience i had with your tent. it was the first trip in the tent and obviously it wasn’t quite set up properly and it collected water through a very heavy downpour. i woke to the sound of running water at 5am and i thought “that sounds close”. I came out of the tent to find what i guess was 100 litres of water on the roof also about 20cm of water on the ground “poor site choice”,it was still holding the water off the ground. So i think this says a lot about the quality of canvas because there was no damage at all to the tent we managed to get through more rain and five more days camping dry (after changing site position). I continue to recommend your tent as i realise i was a bit slack in the set up. i have attached a few photos as well feel free to use them.

We have already experienced our first camp trip…it was in our sons back yard with our grandchildren. Thank god you exist. Anymore weekend visits to camper companies around Brisbane and I think I would have gone insane.
Over Easter we gave the camper a test run at Tin Can Bay and it was a dream. I must admit I thought having six kids in it would be hell on earth but it wasn’t in fact there was plenty of room for everyone. George did his Steve Urwin thing with the kids, I relaxed, and we all had a brilliant time. We had a lot of visitors to the tent to check it all out so you might get some business out of our trip, fingers crossed. Will send you some photos. Your glow stick idea for the small ones was a stroke of genius. We never lost one, mind you we had just as much fun too. George says he will look out for you at the Fraser Island fishing Comp. Just wanted to write and let you know that we are absolutely thrilled with our new camper. It came just as we had to head out of town on business…. but the very day we returned, we set it up. Couldn’t wait a minute longer.. and it was very straightforward. It is so well designed and you have thought of everything. It’s great. I spent hours (days/weeks) online and travelling all over Perth looking at various campers and I have to say that I was unable to find anything even close to yours. Anyone who has seen the camper set up has been impressed – they can’t believe that such a quality product (trailer and tent) had such a great price tag.
This weekend we are finally taking it on the road – just a 2 night stay, but that is something we would never have considered before. Your tent is so easy to set up – we can’t wait. Since we had never before set up a camper, we decided we better give it a go at home first. Our first time was a breeze. Easier than we ever expected. We have set our camper up twice and we have the main tent and annex set up in 5 minutes, no problems. We got the walls set up in about another 12 minutes, which we feel is pretty good.
Your camper has opened up a whole new world for us. Because it’s so simple to set up and all of our gear for our entire family packs so nicely into the trailer – an overnight trip is no big deal anymore. We’ve been able to get rid of our cumbersome tents. We can all sleep quite comfortably in this camper.
You really did make our purchase easy. Sight unseen and across the other side of the country…. you were an absolute pleasure to do business with. You offer a great product and we wish you all the best.

Just wanted to let you know that I have now successfully erected the camper twice and even managed to get it back on the trailer. Also, wanted to say thank you very much for your service and the way that you do business. It is always a delight to deal with people who are genuine and deliver what they say they will (a bit of a rarity sometimes today).

I’m very happy with the camper. Actually I put it up on Saturday night at a friends place (we had to go to a party and as they live on acreage, it was ideal to stay overnight) and the most interest in anything during the night was in the camper. There seems to be a lot of people considering buying one and everybody was impressed with the Austrack. Hopefully you will get some enquiries from it.

Just got back from another trip with the “Austrack” camper. Two weeks a Hawks nest NSW (northern shores of port Stephens / mungo brush national park) with the whole family.
The camper trailer was great and became a conversational topic quite regularly.Between you and I It was great to see some of the more expensive over priced trailers suffer issues and problems during our time.
I will send you a couple of photos to show what happens when a 35 to 40 knot SW wind and rain hits an Austrack camper… So you don’t get heart burn……The answer is…………nothing.
As you will see there was a bit of an over kill with the ropes but mum and kids felt safe… The carnage with other tens and campers was evident in the morning with one camper trailer lot getting in the car and driving home that night and retuning a day later to pack up what was left of it.
I got to hand it to you mate the ol Austrack camper may not be the flashiest most expensive camper but it is most certainly the most practical and enduring one around.
Thanks again Kevin for the assistance in the procurement of my Austrack camper. I know we made the right decision. I’m sure there will be plenty more family holiday adventures to be had and we will keep you posted.

I thought I should write a very quick note and say how delighted Dot and I are with our new camper trailer.

This being our first camper trailer, we had spent many hours on the internet comparing your product with any we could find. We have found a couple which were a little better than yours – but we baulked at the $46,500 price tags! Having purchased it “sight unseen”, the Austrack
camper trailer met all our very high expectations when delivered here in Perth.
Apart from our personal satisfaction, every person (without exception) who has looked at it has been particularly impressed with the quality of design and construction. The usual reaction can be summed up as: “I have never seen any camper nearly as good”. When I tell them the
price, they are simply shocked.

Thanks also for all your personal help with our modifications – It is unusual enough to have someone prepared and able to make changes based on email requests, but to have the added benefit of your practical knowledge as well as enquiring around Australia to get the best solution for us was an absolute bonus. We are truly appreciative of your efforts on our behalf.
After having put the tent up three times, we are now going to attempt to erect it within the claimed 2 minutes. I doubt we will do it, but by the time we get back from our 10 day camping trip to Wiluna, I am sure we will have it under 5 minutes!

Dear Tanya and Kevin,

Just a note to let you know how happy we are with your Austrack Camper Tent. I’ve mounted the tent on the trailer using the gas struts and it works a treat. The tent was a straight forward assembly and dismantle much easier than I anticipated, infact it was done in no time with my daughter who’s 10 yrs old and myself.
